Beauty and the Beast

It's a tale as old as time (I heard that somewhere...), but do you know how old? The original was written by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve and published in 1740!

It's so telling that it remains a powerful example of how sometimes you have to look beyond the surface to find the true beauty in life. I find it reminds me of people and things I love, but didn't understand until I looked a little deeper. I like to think we all know what that's like, and this is my way of offering you a reminder.
